Using the LanBox Wireless

One of the nice things about the LanBox is the ability to work wireless, using a laptop or PDA with PalmOS or WinCE (and StyleTap? ). This way it is possible to check lights, position lights or just run the show from anywhere on or off stage.

Setup

There are of course many setups possible.
  • AirportExpress?
  • Generic wireless router
  • ....

Airport Express

How to connect a computer (Macbook in this case) to the LanBox using AirportExpress? .

The Lanbox needs to be connected directly to the AirportExpress? using the networkcable. (picture?)
The Lanbox needs to be configured to be in the IP-range of the LanBox as shown in the screenshots below.

For more information of other tabs you can download and open the Baseconfig File for Airport Express: attached.

When the Lanbox is correctly connected to the AirportExpress? , the flashing orange light will turn green.

When the laptop or any other device connects to the AirportExpress? correctly, LC-edit will automaticaly detect the Lanbox on the network.
